| Catalogs (The World of Books) -- Catalogs are tools to help
you locate book titles and journal titles owned by one library or a library consortium.
Search options normally include author, title, subject, keyword, call number, ISSN,
ISBN, etc. However, one cannot search for articles by title or author in a catalog.
Instead, Indexes/abstracts in an appropriate subject should be used. Types of Catalogs CSUF OPAC -- A catalog for the CSUF Pollak Library's collection. The catalog provides a bibliographic description for each document in the OPAC. It also provides information on location, call number, and status for each document. LINK+ -- Formerly CSU Link. Link+ is the union catalog for the CSU libraries in the consortium including the Claremont Colleges Libraries. You can request books online from LINK+. It takes about three days for the books to arrive. Melvyl -- The union catalog for the libraries of the nine University of California campuses. It consists of two databases. Melyvyl Catalog is a database to locate books. Periodicals Titles database, also known as the California Periodicals Database, is a union list of periodicals in California. Major contributors include 9 UC campuses, California State Library, California State University, Stanford University, and others. WorldCat-- An OCLC database of books and journals in libraries worldwide that have contributed records to OCLC. One can request books online in WorldCat.
