Finding Census 2000 Data for Filipino Americans in California
Cities:
Occupations, Homeowners v. Renters, Income, & Education
To find OCCUPATIONS of Filipino Americans in CERRITOS
Go to American Factfinder at: http://factfinder.census.gov/
Click on Data Sets (in left frame)
Scroll down and select radio button for Census 2000 Summary File 4 (SF 4) - Sample Data
Click on Detailed Tables (right side of screen)
Under Select a geographic type, change selection from NATION to PLACE
Select a state: CALIFORNIA
Select one or more geographic areas and scroll down and click 'Add'
Click on CERRITOS CITY
Scroll down and click on ADD
Under Current geography selections:
Select: CERRITOS CITY, CALIFORNIA
Click on NEXT
Click on BY KEYWORD (this is a tab in center of screen)
In box, type: occupation
Click on SEARCH
Select: PCT86: Sex By Occupation For The Employed Civilian Population 16 Years And Over
Click on ADD
Under Current table selections click on: PCT86: Sex By Occupation For The Employed Civilian Population 16 Years And Over
Click on NEXT
Under Select one or more race or ethnic groups and click 'Add', scroll down to FILIPINO ALONE OR IN ANY COMBINATION
Click on ADD
Under Current population group selections: click on Filipino alone or in any combination
Scroll to RIGHT of screen and click on SHOW RESULTS.
IMPORTANT!!! Two tables will display. Top table is for the total population of CERRITOS. The SECOND table is for Filipino population in CERRITOS.
