Comparative Indicators of Education in the United States and Other G-8 Countries: 2006 new title
This report describes how the education system in the United States compares with education systems in the other G-8 countries--Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Russian Federation, and the United Kingdom. Twenty indicators are organized in five sections: (1) population and school enrollment; (2) academic performance; (3) context for learning; (4) expenditure for education; and (5) education returns: educational attainment and income.

Comparative Indicators of Education in the United States and Other G8 Countries: 2004 begins with a section that highlights key findings and then presents 23 indicators that compare different aspects of education systems in the United States and the seven other G8 countries. The 23 indicators are organized into the following sections: Context of Education, Preprimary and Primary Education, Secondary Education, Higher Education.
An addition to the 2004 G8 report is the APPENDIX, which contains information about the education system of each G8 country, and is an updated version of the “Classification of Countries’ Education Systems” found in the 2002 report.

Every year, the EFA Global Monitoring Report assesses where the world stands on its commitment to provide a basic education to all children, youth and adults by 2015. The reports discuss conditions in 160 countries, not necessarily comparisons.

Global Monitoring Report, 2005 [UNESCO]
The 2005 report titled "Education for All" reviews research evidence on factors that determine quality, and maps out key policies for improving the teaching and learning process, especially in low-income countries.

Global Monitoring Report, 2003/04 [UNESCO]
The 2003/4 Report "Gender and Education for All: The Leap to Equality” focuses on where countries stand in their efforts to eliminate gender disparities in primary and secondary education.
